Albert Hignell Had A Dream We Continue Today

history_01 Albert Hignell began a small printing shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1908. He offered quality printing to local businesses. His dream was a prosperous business based on quality and service. In no time, Hignell Printing flourished. The dream continued first by Hignell's two sons, then onto his grandson and his great grandson.

In the beginning, Hignell printed commercial needs for businesses. Years and a generation later in the 50's, Hignell Printing limited specialized in the printing of quality books. There was a niche in the market for short press runs of 5,000 books or less. With this new specialization, Hignell Book Printing grew.

In 1989, the Hignell family sold the business to Unigraphics. Remaining true to Hignell's dream, Hignell Printing/Unigraphics continues to print books for authors and publishers from all over the world. The same standards, foresight of quality and commitment to service started by Albert Hignell 100 years ago are still present today.
